Black Women in Horror Month sends a shout out to our sisters in Angels of Darkness! There’s still 5 more days to help fund the Kickstarter for their up and coming anthology, Mama Said.
Mama Said: An Angels of Darkness Anthology has been in the works since May 2024 and it is FINALLY here! The anthology planning team consists of J.V. Sadler (Project Lead and Editor), Lori Titus (Co-editor), Miracle Austin, E.M. Lacey, and C.Y. Marshall. The Angels of Darkness is an online Facebook group founded by author C.Y. Marshall in 2023 for Black Women Horror Writers.
Dark Fairytale is the theme. Imagine Pan’s Labyrinth or Brothers Grimm stories. Our authors are Bram Stoker finalists, USA Today Bestsellers, Amazon Bestsellers, Indie Literary Award winners, and more!
Mama Said is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter, a website for people to support creative projects. Become a Backer and receive rewards! There are 4 reward tiers: Thank you! ($5), Bronze ($10), Sliver ($30), and Gold ($50). Don’t want a reward?
That’s fine too! Anyone can pledge any donation amount without a reward.
Kickstarter is All-Or-Nothing. If the project does not raise its goal, the project receives nothing. Without this funding, the anthology cannot get made–Period.
